Barbara Jackson
Barbara is very seasoned and successful marketer with over 20 years of delivering exceptional results. She began her marketing career with General Mills and has continued to work with top corporations across varied industries, in a variety of sales and marketing roles, including Coca Cola, Pepsi and Reebok and in senior management roles with Diageo and Allied Domecq, VP, Marketing, UMBRO, President, UMBRO USA and most recently William Grant & Sons, SVP, Marketing.
Barbara'a experience in building brands and delivering results is impressive, her specialty is launching new brands and turning around troubled brands. While employed with Pepsi, she introduced several new products, most notably Hot Wings; with Allied Domecq, she developed and executed the plan to reverse years of decline on Kahlua Liqueur while building the business on the Courvoisier Cognac line and the Sauza Tequila business; at UMBRO Barbara stabilized the declining US business and set the course for growth by negotiating a partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods, the largest US sports retailer; and finally, at William Grant & Sons, she helmed the successful global launch of the Sailor Jerry business (rum, clothing retail, film, music).
Barbara has a BS in Management from Fisk University and an MBA in Marketing from Atlanta University. In addition to this education, she has continued her post-graduate learning with certification from the University of Michigan in Finance for the Non Financial Manager; intensive course work in leadership training and deeper understanding of self with profiling from Talent+.
Barbara has one daughter and resides in Miami, Florida.
